WHO IS METFIX FOR?
MetFix stands for Metabolic Fix. Over our years of experience we have made some critical observations: (1) Health is about more than having good blood markers; (2) Fitness provides performance in sport and independence as you age; (3) Fitness alone does not determine your health; (4) Metabolic health underpins overall health; (5) Nutrition is the greatest influence on your metabolic health.
If you are interested in looking, feeling, and performing your best—whether that is at work, with your family, or an activity you enjoy—MetFix is for you!
BEGINNERS
This program is for you if you are someone who has never stepped inside a gym, wants to begin an exercise program but you don't know how, or have prior (or current) injuries that you don't know how to work around. Classes are coach-guided from start to finish. Every client in the program has an individualized version of the workout that fits their needs. We always work in pain-free ranges of motion and scale movements and intensity according to ability, while meeting your physical and mental needs.
AGES 55+
The published medical literature overwhelmingly supports aerobic and resistance exercise, alongside sound nutrition practices, as the best protection from and treatment of chronic diseases that include but are not limited to diabetes, hypertension, coronary artery disease, stroke, and dementia. This program is geared towards ages 55+ looking to optimize their health and functionality.
PREGNANCY + POSTPARTUM
Pregnancy can be both an amazing but also challenging experience at times. It is nature's stress test on the body, and can often foreshadow a person's future risk of developing cardiovascular and metabolic disease. Our group fitness classes are geared towards supporting women during this pivotal period of their long-term health trajectory.
OBESITY + METABOLIC DISEASE
Seventy-five percent of annual deaths globally occur due to chronic, largely lifestyle-associated, metabolic diseases. The vast majority of these diseases can be prevented or put into remission with an effective exercise and nutrition program. Our small group fitness class is geared for those who are looking for support in reversing their chronic disease.
COMMUNITY + CONSISTENCY
Mental and physical health are closely intertwined. Programs that support adherence in a welcoming and inclusive in-person setting have been shown to provide myriad health benefits. Our programs create a genuine and lasting human connection that will support the pursuit of your best mental and physical health.
